This interactive platform enables you to evaluate grid capacity, pinpoint suitable land parcels, estimate interconnection costs, and initiate applications—all within a single, integrated environment designed to support efficient Distributed Energy Resource project development.

Using the map

• Search by address: Enter a location using the search bar
• Explore the map: Navigate by zooming and panning to identify potential parcels
• Assess capacity: Select a parcel to view seasonal and time-series hosting capacity, along with available headroom

Key concepts

• Hosting Capacity: The amount of additional distributed energy resources (such as solar PV) that can be connected to a specific area of the electric grid without compromising reliability or requiring significant infrastructure upgrades
• Headroom (Load Capacity): The available unused electrical capacity that can accommodate additional demand without exceeding thermal, voltage, or operational limits

We will continue to provide the legacy circuit-based hosting capacity map through June 30, 2026, to allow time for customers to familiarize themselves with the new parcel-based maps.
