Transmission System Vegetation Management Massachusetts Projects

We are continuously working to improve the reliability and resiliency of our system. We proactively maintain vegetation in a multi-year cycle to enhance reliability and prevent outages.

In addition to normal maintenance activities, our Transmission Right-of-Way Reliability Program (TRRP) is a long-term vegetation maintenance initiative focused on improving electric system reliability and resiliency by expanding and maintaining wider transmission corridors. The TRRP WT-11 project is one of these efforts and will occur along an existing transmission corridor that runs approximately 29 miles from the Northfield Substation in Northfield, Massachusetts, to the Ludlow Substation in Ludlow, Massachusetts.

Prior to performing scheduled maintenance, our operational plans are reviewed and approved annually.

Below are towns with active transmission vegetation management projects being worked on in Massachusetts. If a town is not listed below, it means there are currently no active transmission vegetation projects underway.
