The 2025 Report
- We worked toward an expanded emissions reduction strategy anchored by two core goals: a 45% reduction in operational greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by 2035, and net-zero emissions by 2050, encompassing both operational and indirect scope 3 emissions associated with customer usage.
- We began the process of replacing electric meters with smart meters for approximately 1.5 million customers in Massachusetts by 2027.
- We championed veteran hiring with more than 800 employees having served in the U.S. military who demonstrate their teamwork, adaptability and responsibility every day.
- We supported monarch butterflies by enrolling more than 70,000 acres of land into a voluntary program that incorporates conservation measures.
- More than 194,000 customers benefited from debt forgiveness through arrears management programs, and customers saved nearly $77 million on their bills with energy efficiency programs.
- Our communities were supported through charitable giving and nearly 6,000 employees volunteering over 29,000 hours.
